Marshbeck furniture was founded in 1982 and has changed very little over time. We are still a family business that believe in offering high quality hand crafted English furniture at an affordable price. We also firmly believe in offering a personal service and giving people a chance to feel involved in creating their ideal furniture. There are too many companies around today that have lost a sense of real service and how to listen to customer needs. We aim to preserve traditional values such as supporting local craftsmen and businesses, giving confidence that everone involved gets a fair deal.

About Our Furniture

Our furniture is made to our exact specification by a network of small local cabinet makers and craftsmen and then hand finished, glazed and upholstered by our own craftsmen. The advantage of small companies is the ability to be flexible, which is why we are able to offer such a comprehensive service with regard to the construction and finishing of our furniture. Even though different items come through different sources we ensure the detail of each piece has continuity. This enables us to offer a huge matching range of furniture from display cabinets to dining tables.

About Our Website

Nearly everything you see on this site can also be viewed or bought from our shop. A full bespoke service is possible with certain items from our range so if you see something you like but it has the wrong dimensions etc, there is a chance we could supply you with an item built to your specifications.When making enquiries or orders, please quote any relevant reference numbers where available. We currently do not have a paper catalogue due to the size of our range. Most dimensions supplied are in inches and are given as a guide - slight variations may occur.

How To Order

Nearly all of our products including the many available options are able to be purchased online. Please choose from each of the options for every item required. If you prefer we are happy to process your order over the telephone, especially if you would like any guidance from our sales staff. Nearly all items on our website can also be viewed and ordered via our showroom in Lavenham. All bespoke items must be purchased via the telephone or from in store

Polishing Shop

Due to having our own Polishing shop, we are able to offer the virtually unique service of colour matching. This means that we can not only just supply you with exceptional furniture, but we can match it's colour to your existing furniture, ensuring additional items will never look out of place. Another benefit from the polishing shop is that all work carried out is closely monitored to ensure the highest quality finish is achieved time and time again!

Delivery

We endeavour to hold as much stock as possible to reduce lead times. Items in stock can be polished, prepared and delivered to most areas within approximately 4 weeks. Some items supplied are made specifically for our customers. Please allow up to 10 weeks for delivery. If you would like specific delivery or stock information regarding any item(s), please call or email before placing an order. Most items are delivered by our own staff and vehicles, fully assembled and blanket-wrapped. Please ensure adequate access and parking is available. After your order has been placed you will be contacted around 1 week prior to delivery. You will be offered a date and a 2 hour time window for delivery. There will need to be someone present for delivery and assistance for our driver if required. We only offer a downstairs delivery service unless adequate assistance is provided.

All deliveries are performed by our own staff and vehicles, ensuring your purchase reaches you in perfect condition.All items are blanket-wrapped and driven from us to you meaning minimum handling of your furniture. None of our products have a delivery cost built in to the price as this unnecessarily increases the costs to those who are local to us or would prefer to collect.
There are exceptions to these prices, such as smaller items which can be sent via courier at a reduced rate - please contact us to confirm delivery charges.
Please note that assistance may be required at point of delivery as it is not always possible to provide 2 man deliveries.
