Marshbeck furniture was founded in 1982 and has changed very little over time. We are still a family business that believe in offering high quality hand crafted English furniture at an affordable price. We also firmly believe in offering a personal service and giving people a chance to feel involved in creating their ideal furniture. There are too many companies around today that have lost a sense of real service and how to listen to customer needs. We aim to preserve traditional values such as supporting local craftsmen and businesses, giving confidence that everone involved gets a fair deal.

Making A Purchase

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

We accept Visa, Switch and MasterCard. If you do not wish to pay online, you may send your card information via phone, fax or by post. Your order will only be processed once payment is received

If you have made a mistake in your order and cannot correct it in the shopping cart, contact us and we will correct the mistake.

When confirmation of your order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

Delivery Schedule

We endeavour to hold as much stock as possible to reduce lead times. Items in stock can be polished, prepared and delivered to most areas within approximately 4-6 weeks. Some items supplied are made specifically for our customers. Please allow up to 10-12 weeks for delivery. Deliveries made to Scotland, Wales & south west England may take an extra 2 weeks.
If you would like specific delivery or stock information regarding any item(s), please call or email before placing an order.
Most items are delivered by our own staff and vehicles, fully assembled and blanket-wrapped. Please ensure adequate access and parking is available.

After your order has been placed you will be contacted around 1 week prior to delivery. You will be offered a date and a 2 hour time window for delivery. There will need to be someone present for delivery and assistance for our driver if required. We only offer a downstairs delivery service.

All deliveries are performed by our own staff and vehicles, ensuring your purchase reaches you in perfect condition.All items are blanket-wrapped and driven from us to you meaning minimum handling of your furniture. None of our products have a delivery cost built in to the price as this unnecessarily increases the costs to those who are local to us or would prefer to collect.
There are exceptions to these prices, such as smaller items which can be sent via courier at a reduced rate - please contact us to confirm delivery charges.
Please note that assistance may be required at point of delivery as it is not always possible to provide 2 man deliveries.

Credit Card Security

When the order is placed at our website, credit card numbers are encrypted using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.

We guarantee your satisfaction. Please let us know if you have any problems at all and we will endeavour to correct them. We operate a repair, replace or refund policy at your descretion within 7 days of delivery.

Marshbeck Ltd do not disclose buyers' information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.

Returns Policy

Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive.

You are entitled to cancel your order and return the goods within 7 working days for a full refund, excluding the cost of delivery and excluding bespoke or made to measure items. Do this by contacting us by email or telephone and quoting the order number supplied to you. Your refund will be paid within 30 days. You are responsible for the cost of returning the goods. This cancellation policy does not affect your rights when we are at fault - for example, if goods are faulty or misdescribed.

Orders of standard stock items are subject to a 10% charge if cancelled.
Orders of bespoke items (alterations made other than online options) are NOT able to be returned or refunded
Any goods returned should be in saleable condition.

These terms apply to your order. We may change our terms and conditions at any time, so please do not assume that the same terms will apply in the future.

None of these terms affect your legal rights and these are not diminished in any way. If any term is held to be invalid under any applicable statute or rule of law, that term is automatically omitted from the terms to minimum extent necessary to comply with the law and without affecting the validity or enforceability of the remainder.
